Duke picked to win in a "mild upset" over marquette.  HUH?  pretty sure duke is ahead of us in all rankings, but i guess kinda cool that this guy feels it would be an upset...

Until Duke is reduced to playing their team managers 15 minutes a night, a win by the Blue Devils is NEVER an upset.   I sincerely hope we get the chance to test ourselves against them.   A Bobby Knight team can never be counted out even when he IS playing the team managers.   But if we do manage to win this thing, all of the S.O.S doubters can all pucker up.

if we end up playing duke and keeping it close i say it would be a huge set for showing how this young team will handle big games later in the season.  better news would be a win how great would it be not just on the surface but for our RPI since we have a rather weak non confrence schedule

actually.. I like to think that Duke has yet to EARN THE RIGHT to play Marquette  ;D (by beating Air Force)

course.. we have to earn the right to show up in the championship game too but details details    ::)

i think this team is highly capable of doing much more against duke than "keeping it close."  watching them play against georgia southern, if we can get them to play fast, they play a little sloppy, and we are definitely deeper.  james would give paulus fits with his bad ankle, and the running game would negate any height advantages duke would have.  duke is very beatable this year, and i hope we get the chance to do it.

It helps with Paulus not 100%, I think it gives us a much better shot against Duke, saying if we beat Texas Tech, hopefully the players aren't looking past either EMU or Tech, don't want a repeat Idaho St incident with EMU, and Texas Tech is a above average team.
