Canadian Dimes

I know one of the basic principles of Mu's offense is to get paint touches.  However, I would like to see Buzz put more of an emphasis of that not applying as much to DJO.

So many times DJO catches the ball on a kick and drives the results fall into the following categories:

1) ball handling or bad pass turnover

2) contested drive and shot

3) ball being sucessfully driven and kicked but now in the hands of a less capable scorer.

Bottom Line is DJO is such a good spot up shooter off the catch, that while I understand the emphasis and like DJO's unselfishness, many times a game I would like him to simply rise up when catching that pitch and shoot the ball.  Not sure that this team has many better options than a DJO jump shot.  Would like to see him take 3-4-5 more jump shots a game.

PuertoRicanNightmare

I agree with this. It's almost like the Hickory High School "four passes before you take a shot." DJO should shoot the damn ball whenever he's open. It'll serve to open up the lane (for the team and himself) in later situations.

Clam Crowder

I don't care what he does with his pump fake as long as he keeps scoring and we keep winning. I think he shoots enough, and I find a Jae Crowder or Gardenr layup to be a much better option than a DJO jump shot

DJO's Pump Fake

PGsHeroes32

I like the shot fake as well but agree he does do it too much for stupid drives that result in missed layup, charge or TO.

If he shoots more from outside im ok with that. Ride with your best shooter.

But either way hes having a a great year so not a big deal
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Skatastrophy

Love his shot fake.  DJO could double his free-throw numbers if he starts taking his 3s jumping into defenders.

We don't have a guy like Butler that we could count on to get guys fouled out.  DJO could be that guy if he wanted to be, but he always passes up the easily drawn foul.

We can absolutely count on gardner to get the other team in foul trouble.

Not as consistently as DJO, especially against talented bigs.  DG still plays very handsy defense and (imo) will end up sitting for long periods of time with foul trouble still this season.
