Anyone know how Buzz ranks compared to past Warrior coaches on how quick to 100 wins?  Also against coaches in D1?

Congrats Buzz.

Blackhat

Yep Congratulations.    He's got the team playing real well on both ends.

DoggyDaddy

Well done Buzz, we're proud of your work and your example.

Norm

Didn't Deane get to 100 wins quicker than any other MU coach? Did Buzz beat him to 100?

Badgerhater

Buzz has 86 wins at MU.   Minimum of 12 games left this year.

He's got Deane, Crean, and McGuire beat as far as wins at this point in career.   Didn't have to rebuild like McGuire and Crean did though.

Would be a tall task, but I'd really like to see him get to 100 this year!

I know what you are getting at, but the cupboards were quite bare for his 2nd season.

Badgerhater

McGuire, Deane and Crean didn't play a Big East Schedule either during their first 4 years.

I'm hoping for him to get to 105 this year.

Badgerhater

Buzz in year 3 and 4 has been winning with his players.  That is the most significant part of his win total.

Haven't reached that crucial year 5 yet.  Please withhold all judgement.

Chico's choice for head coach, Keno Davis, has reached proficiency as a BTN color commentator in year 4.

So, Deane still has the record to quickest to 100 wins as MU coach? Is Buzz on track to get to 100 MU wins before Deane?

Deane's last win at Marquette was his 100th. It took him 5 years. If Buzz won 14 more games this year, he'd have 100 a full season sooner than it took Deane. Of course, 31 is a pretty lofty goal. Even still, at latest Buzz should eclipse 100 during our non-con schedule early next year.
