"When it comes to versatile players, Marquette senior Jae Crowder is among the best in the Big East Conference.

Crowder, who recorded his fifth double-double of the season (14 points, 11 rebounds) and seventh of his career in last Monday's victory over Louisville, is one of three Big East players to be ranked among the top 15 in the conference in six different statistical categories.

Crowder ranks 13th in the Big East in scoring (16.2 points), 10th in rebounding (7.4), fourth in steals (2.2), 15th in three-point shooting percentage (37.9%), 12th in three-pointers made (1.89 per game), and fifth in defensive rebounding (5.47 per game).

Crowder recorded a career-high six steals against Louisville.

West Virginia's Kevin Jones and Seton Hall's Jordan Theodore are the other two players ranked among the top 15 in six categories. No player in ranked among the top 15 in seven categories.

Crowder is averaging 29.9 minutes per game and has carried a heavier load since center Chris Otule was lost for the season with a knee injury, but coach Buzz Williams says Crowder and his teammates continue to get better at playing without Otule.

"I think with each passing day we feel more and more comfortable," said Williams."
