I don't care enough to look myself, but I find these updates interesting and I appreciate the information. Ari may speak for a smaller majority than he thinks.

i like the updates...i think this entire board is about playing the "what if" game.

I agree, it is interesting to watch transfers like Mbakwe, Christopherson, Tyshawn Taylor etc. There is no ill will towards players that transfer. Sometimes the shoe doesn't fit.

Yes and don't forget Jmay, Reggie Smith, Mbao, McMorrow, Ewill, Newbill, and Roseboro.

Newbill was never enrolled, therefore could not have transferred.

He wanted to ... Ty Taylor did not enroll either.

I care too...

Perhaps Ari's speaking for a minority?  Or himself?  Or maybe if he doesn't care about something he could just not click on the thread rather than taking the time to post how little he cares.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

I care, because it is interesting to see how wrong posters are about how good a player is. Many here did not think Christopherson would ever be any good. I do think he looked worse than he was, because he did not look like an athlete and as a freshmen he was playing with to McNeal, Matthews and James, who could make respectable athletes look nonathletic.

Agree that I like to know how some of the guys that have passed through here do elsewhere.  If Christopherson stayed at MU, he would have used up his eligibility last season, so no "what if" game for him this season.

So 11 players are on D1 rosters this year that either sighed with MU, or transferred from MU.

I think we have our Non-Conference Schedule!

I don't think we want any "revenge" matches that would lead to "breakout" games by the non-MUers.

But we DID beat Nick Williams.

Yeah, WHAT IF a spot-up shooter who can't guard anyone or rebound took up valuable roster space for 4 years.  I DO WONDER ABOUT THAT OFTEN.

You're seriously overestimating the value of Ari's time.

AND what a HUGE shot it was, beating a .500 team... with a sub .500 conference record... at home.

THAT KID IS GOING PLACES!

Considering they're on pace to go to the NCAA Tournament this year, had he missed that shot and they lost in OT that would obviously not have been a great loss. That shot could be the difference between NCAA and NIT for Iowa State. So yeah, it could be a HUGE shot. The kid scored 17 last night and 19 against the top 5 squad Missouri. Not sure what your beef is with him, maybe he schooled you back in the LaCrosse area high school. He was Honroable Mention All Big 12 last year, yet he'd be a waste of a sholarship for 4 years? God forbid we someone on our roster who is so bad at basketball he can only make Honorable Mention in a high-major conference. Childish.

Best of luck to Scott. Glad he's getting it done at Iowa State.

Looks like that same .500 team is now back to .500 after beating #2 Missouri.  Weird.

Odd that the collective MUScoop didn't think Christopherson could do anything for us now gets excited about Jake Thomas.

SC was only like five star recruit when he committed after this sophomore year. For the rest of my thoughts, see the Vander thread.
