I propose a new nickname for Davante Gardner, following today's win.

Buzz Williams referred to Gardner as a Jack in the box, where they throw him the ball in the paint and you just start turning the crank, listen to the music and wait for him to put the ball up and score. I, for one, hope it sticks because I don't like "Ox" and think this is pretty funny.

Paraphrase (someone link to the audio if known/available)"

"He's like a jack-o-lantern... always coming at you.  No, not a jack-o-latern.  What do you call those things?  Jack-in-the-box.  Wind him up, the music's playing, he pops out at you."

Epic Buzz.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

From the presser:

"You throw him the ball and he's like a Jack-in-the-box. Throw him the ball, start turning the deal and everybody's listening to the music, our guys are cutting because they know he'll get it to them. And it's like, 'You want me to shoot it with my right or my left? Over my right shoulder or left shoulder? You want me to pivot or not pivot?' How many and-1's can I get today?' I've never seen a guy like that."

I also like Jack-o-lantern as a nickname, but I think my favorite is The Lumberjack.

Wow, totally missed this yesterday - that Buzz quote is amazing, and the nickname highly accurate.  Some of Buzz' lines there reminded me of Shaq's rap single.

"Ox in the box" is what I'm hearing...

I thought Jack-in-the-box was his favorite fast food restaurant  ;D

Someone should be able to make a wonderful T-shirt design of this

Not sure if this has been posted...sorry if repetitive....but this is classic stuff from Buzz:

"He can't out-jump me, he can't outrun me, he's not in better condition than me. He says two percent of the words I say on a daily basis," Williams said. "But, hey, dribble down there and throw it to that guy and then let's play. That's not a play. Just throw it to him and we'll see what happens. No, I've never seen a guy like that."

I'm sure a bunch of people already have... look for them on the jumbotron at the next game.  But don't go copying their design, especially if they copied it from someone else.
