What was up with Todd's tattoo? I was unaware that he had a WV tattoo!

Pretty sure the plan was always to go to WVU. Huggins and company were in on him as early as Buzz was, maybe even earlier, but in Bo Ryan fashion, they "cooled" on him. Buzz kept after Mayo, and when he re-emerged as a star at Notre Dame Prep, we had already secured his commitment. Huggins did try to get back in, but it was too late.

Maybe once he graduates, we should start a fund to get him a new tattoo to cover that one. Then again...something tells me he won't need that money from us ;D

He also grew up in Morgantown, practically lived on the WVU campus.

I thought he grew up in Huntington - home of the Marshall Thundering Herd.

I thought he was born in Huntington and moved to Morgantown

He went to South Point High School in Ohio as a freshman...which is right across the river from Huntington.

Yep. If I remember correctly, Mayo committed to MU a day or two after Huggins made an offer.

Sure glad Mayo plays for MU.  He is a "difference maker" and will only continue to be more dominant.

Mayo had his choice narrowed down to WV and MU and he choose MU right after we defeated WV in the Big East Tourney last year.
