Class of 07.....Slasher, wing, blue collar player...good role player, consistent....believe his high school team won state...not positive on that.  He is making his visits now.  He waited and improved his game to increase his stock and it worked out for him.  He has offers from Xavier, K-St., Georgia, Duquesne, Va Tech....and possibly others.

He just visited Xavier and Georgia within the past week or two.

I must stop going to the 'rivals 150'..., wayyy too depressing.  another year MU without a top 100 recruit, and UW w/ 2!  I never was impressed w/ Bo Cryan's recruiting until last year, and it is continuing.

How did UConn and Syracuse do with their highly recruited players?  Just Curious.

Who's the second UW recruit?

Why are you wasting your time with rivals anyway, they are one of the worst ones out there.   I can't believe that Mbakwe or Christopherson didn't make thier top 150 if that's what you're saying.
If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter.

And to keep the UW thing in perspective, remeber that if big white guys are what you're shooting for then Wisconsin is what you want.  Wasn't Butch and Okey (spelling) top 100 guys?  That equates to role players in Wisconsin.

Herbo, rivals has Mbakwe at 146 (3 stars), and UW's Jon Leuer, a 6'10" forward who is a 'smooth shooter' at 75 (4 stars), and Keaton Nankivil, 6'8" power forward at 85, (4 stars).

Army, I think Butch will provide plenty of problems for MU this year in Madison, and I would love to have him playing FOR us.  Okey pot-smoked his way out of basketball.  And, I don't care if our big guys are white, black or asian..., as long as they lace em up.

BigSky, I think we'll see how 'Cuse does, as they, too, have 2 or 3 guys in the top 100 again this year.  (you gotta think they'll do better with 'em, than without 'em, doncha?).

The internet has caused college basketball recruiting info to explode all over the place.

What matters is who can and cannot play, and at what level.  Go see a kid play a few times or more on your own if you are that interested.  Gas up the car, or take a flight.

I see a lot of AAU ball and a lot of high school ball in different states....and many times it is extraordinary the wide ranging opinions on rankings etc....for players outside of the top 25 or so in the country.

Some players improve drastically year to year, or form high school to college....others regress dramatically....others level off etc.....

My point above was about how some of the highest touted players performed as Frosh.  Some will get better, some won't and some will transfer because 32% of college players transfer.

I am not concerned with Marquette's recruiting as a whole.  Imo Lazar Hayward will be one of the best all around players in the Big East for at least two seasons.....Cubillian was better than expected as a Frosh.  Mbakwe and Christopherson will do well at Marquette.  Nick Williams is highly thought of.....the rest of the returning team for next year is a good team.

Changes are inevitable to many college teams rosters....keep that in mind as well.

Marquette is doing fine in recruiting and I believe will do well adding to Nick Williams in 08 class and in 09 class.

you forget Stiesma, and all the other players on their team... be suprised if Wisconsin scores 70 in a game next year.
