Former four-star prospect and Kentucky transfer Stacey Poole has told Rivals.com he is down to four schools and will make a decision by Monday.

His choices are Georgia Tech, Seton Hall, DePaul and Marquette.

Poole, who is originally from Jacksonville, Fla., also said he does not need any visits in order to make his decision.

Interesting.  I wonder what MU's chances are?

KSR usually has the inside scoop regarding UK information and we are not mentioned in the article.

Don't get your hopes up, thats all i'm saying

How many more wins would MU have this year if this kid was on the roster?

nyg

With Mayo, Ferguson, Anderson, T.Taylor and even Burton in 2013, I don't see him arriving at MU.

I say he stays closes to his Florida home and picks Georgia Tech.

So basically someone is transferring correct? That or one of the recruits won't make it here. We only have the open scholarship for 1 semester. With Branch it sounded like he was interested in MU, with this its pretty obvious Buzz and staff have sent the vibe out that they're accepting mid season transfers.

Zero, IMHO.  He's not a bad player, but he doesn't supply what MU's was missing in those games.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I'd vote yes on Branch, no on Poole.

Three at the most.

I'd vote yes on Branch, no on Poole.

From various twitter messages, Poole has selected Georgia Tech.

The Recruit Scoop had a tweet that indicated Branch will be at St. John's this weekend for a visit and the following weekend he'll be at Maryland.  Considering MU starts school on January 17th, I think Marquette is a longshot for Branch.

If we don't land Branch and Otule sits outs the rest of the year, then he's in line for a 6th year and -- as of now -- we'd be unable to sign someone else for the '13 class. Still, I don't see Buzz standing pat -- not when we're reportedly in so tight w/Nunn and Tate.

I don't get why so many people (Buzz included) think CO will automatically get a 6th year. The NCAA is never consistent with these decisions and rarely grants a 6th year. It seems ridiculous to count on them granting this, especially when he won't be able to apply for another year+ (thus tying up the schollie even longer).

Agree and I don't think it will happen.  Freshman year hurts foot and out like seven games. Sophomore year, breaks foot misses remainder of season. Junior year hurts knee and probably out whole year.  Let him rest knee, rehab/surgery whatever and come back hopefully somewhat injury free for his final year.  Then move on with new recruits.

Boone

Good point. While Otule would meet the %-of-games-played requirement, the likelihood of the NCAA granting him a 6th year is up in the air -- and may in fact be remote given that the injury doesn't appear to be a clear-cut season ender, more like Buzz' judgment call. If Buzz harbors hope for a 6th year, it's risky of him to pull the plug on Otule's season.

He already decided on Georgia Tech  :-\
Hopefully we get Branch  ?-(
