Man, the camera crew is really focusing on the ugly ones in the student section.  Is that what the MU ladies look like, or it just because it's winter?

awilhelmscream

It's winter so the cute ones are hibernating

JD

They weren't hibernating last night ;)

Gardner is playing much improved.  He is getting up and down much better.

jtrash37

I realize Vander isn't taking, let alone making jumpers... but he's playing rather well.  Letting the drive come to him, some great passes, and solid rebounding.

forgetful

Junior comes out again and they go on a 5-0 run.

Yeah, but Davante is struggling with conditioning and it is showing on the defensive end on the floor.  Two fouls because he reached instead of moving his feet.  Solid, solid effort though.

WarriorDoc

Really ticky-tac fouls being called on Gardner and Wilson.

No he's not...he's played really good D and been very active on both ends.  Davante's conditioning is far too scrutinized and criticized...he plays effective minutes, no matter how many..5, 10, 20, 25...

He continues to be a work in progress.  I like the effort from him today.  If he continues to improve, it will help take out some of the sting of CO being out.

Ners, that is false.  He picked up two fouls back-to-back because he reached and didn't move his feet.  It was poor defensive effort.

I'm not knocking his game because this is the best I have seen him, but he still is having trouble with conditioning.

EDIT: And the announcer just made the same observation.

Gotta love that put back by DG.

I agree.  I am one of DG's biggest critics.  I hate when people only see the positives in his game.  He was absolutely horrendous against Vandy.  He is playing better today, but he is an offensive player, his defense leaves a lot to be desired.

DomJamesToTheBasket

DG has been totally dominant today.  6 offensive rebounds and 10 points on putbacks....

forgetful

If Vander could clean up the 2-3 really bad decisions each game he could be a heck of a pg.

Yes, especially after DJO's two circus shot misses, a front end one and one miss and then an open three miss in a two minute span.  Besides that span though, he has played good.

Hyperbole?

I don't think so...that's a really solid performance any day.

I heard MIke Kelly's comments - don't agree with him...or you..regarding Gardner.  His size just makes everyone think he has stamina issues...sure he isn't a greyhound like Vander Blue...but his production rarely seems to slip when he plays more minutes...

So now, "solid performance" is the same as "totally dominant" :o

He was absolutely horrendous against Vandy.

Seriously? He played FIVE minutes.....the guys that actually PLAYED were a bigger problem in that embarassing loss.

3 fouls in 5 minutes.  Horrendous.

It did slip...on the defensive end.  If you can't see that, I don't know what else to say.

GGGG

Vander has to hit those FTs...cmon...  Team is 15/25 from line today.
