Are you going to KC to watch MU in the CBE?  There are lots of places to eat while you are there, but two of my favorites are BBQ restaurants.  Each of them is nationally famous and have large followings.  Near the Municipal Audiotorium are Arthur Bryant's and Gates.  I've eaten at both and they each have great food.  I remember Gates to have a sweet style sauce and Bryant's to have a more spicy, vinegar based sauce.  One word of caution:  if you go to Bryant's, make sure you decide your order before you get to the window.  If you hesitate with your order be prepared for an evil eye by the employee :)
