Good preview. I think he overrates UConn a bit, as I doubt they'll fully gel until February or March, and I definitely see UL as finishing higher. Rest sounds pretty accurate, especially SJU as 16th.

You may be underestimating SJU.  Short roster, but very talented and now adds Amir Garrett.  Also has good coaching ( not Lavin, but assistants ).

SJU will be playing their best ball in late Feb and March.  Unfortunately that doesn't help in Jan and early Feb.  I would guess they will finish in the 14-15 range.  I am just glad we get them early in the schedule before they really start to improve.

When you add up the teams projected records, the Big 10 teams are 4 games under .500 and the Big East teams are 10 under. Pretty sloppy.

Maybe, but virtually zero experience and a roster that only goes 6-7 deep isn't a recipe for Big East success. Preseason, I saw them in the 14-16 range. With the academic ineligibility issues and defections, I just don't see it. In a year or two they should be much improved, but this year 4 league wins may be generous.
