Taking a look at starting line-ups and we are at a severe height disadvantage.  Here is my guess on who's guarding who to start.  Junior/Hickey 6-1 vs 5-10, DJO/Turner 6-2 vs 6-6, Gardner/Hamilton 6-8 vs 6-11, Blue/O'Bryant 6-4 vs 6-9, Crowder/Ludwig 6-6 vs 6-9.  Hopefully are speed will be too much to handle.

Slim

I assume you mean THEIR nightmare.

With our speed, athleticism, leadership, coaching, experience, and bench...I'm sure we will give them fits.

denverMU

Yes, with all that height they have manged to lose to Coastal Carolina, Northwestern, and South Alabama.

This LSU team would be fighting DePaul and Seton Hall for the Big East cellar this year.

Hey, South Florida just got offended by the omission.

Seton Hall is better than DePaul, USF, Rutgers, Providence, St. Johns and Notre Dame at least.

You beat me to it.  I anticipate we might go small, beat them off the dribble, get them in foul trouble, and then FEAST.

I'm 6'4". I don't think I'd present a match-up problem for DJO. It's about more than just height. If Marquette plays a solid all-around game, they should win handily.

KenoshaWarrior

Is this one of those games that I am worried about more so because of the name LSU than the actual players in the purple jerseys??

It sounds like we are much better than them in every facet of the game but for some reason I would still view this as a big win because any OCC Win against a BCS team is a big deal.

My guess is you wouldn't present a match-up problem for any high major basketball player. I don't care how good you were playing center for your high school.....

Goose

We are a tough matchup for any team. Just ask UW-Madison. We rotate players so quickly that I think it is hard for teams to take advantage of their favorable matchups.

I could do some damage in the post against a couple of those guards on UWGB  ;)

My point was that simply looking at opposing players' heights doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be a match-up problem.

Marquette -8.0 and the over/under is 137.

You totally beat me to that one.  I am 6'6 and played small forward at the division 2 level in college, and DJO would absolutely smoke me off the dribble.

brewcity77

They pose a problem with their size, but they only have one legit guard with Stringer out, and that's Hickey, a true freshman. Our quickness and turnover-forcing ability will cause a lot of headaches for the Tigers, too.
