As a huge Bears fan watching Cutler go down was aweful and then watching Forte get hurt was devastating (both were also on my fantasy team). We were in the drivers seat to get to the playoffs and although we still have a decent chance those injuries dont help. Now with Otule getting hurt I find myself way more concerned about this injury than Cutler and Forte's.

Those two players are the 2 most important players on the Bears and Otule is arguably not even in the top 3 most important for MU. So my question to other Bears fans is which injuries have you taken worse?

die-hard bears fan here. first, Otule is absolutely in the top 3 most important to marquette. second, otule hurts a lot more than cutler/forte.

cutler/forte have several more years with the bears, and you could only imagine the bears will be getting better as a team and better positioned for a deep post season run as the years go by (assuming the defense doesn't get super old quickly)

like others have said, with otule marquette has a much higher ceiling this year than without him. this is one of the most talented/deepest marquette rosters in many years. losing otule hurts a lot. not to mention, a college player only has so many years available to them.

Dat's easy, my friend. Da Bears can be repaired if Ditka just waves his hand over dem.

I would say O'tule.  Cutler made me nauseous and I fretted about it, but I think, despite as good as they were playing, the Bears had a ceiling.  Make the playoffs for sure, but I don't know how much farther.

With O'tule, Ive been stressing ever since Tuesday night.  We don't know just how good this Marquette could be and thats what makes me the most upset.  And like previous posters have said, college is different cause with eligibility, your windows are shorter.

"question... who would in a fight: da hurricane or Dikta?  it's actually a trick question; the hurricane's name is Hurricane Ditka!"

God I love Bears fans.  Your two best players by a long shot on offense go down, and you still think you have a good shot at the playoffs?

IMO the Bears losing those two is orders of magnitude worse than losing our center... ESPECIALLY since we don't know how long CO is out.

It's been an hour, how hasn't a Packer fan chimed in yet.  Wades you're getting slow.

Packer fans will be viewed as trolls

They should be viewed as objective rather than the morons that call into the Chicago sports radio shows.

I am saying this as a Packer fan. The Bears have only an outside shot at making the playoffs.  And if they do, they WILL be bounced in their first game.

none of the responses before you, in any way, stated they thought the bears would still go to the playoffs without cutler/forte.

if the bears had cutler/forte and made the playoffs, their weaknesses weren't going to allow them to go very deep. if both MU and the bears are completely healthy through their seasons, marquette has a much higher ceiling at the end of the year. losing CO is definitely worse.

I'm devastated about otule. We need his presence back on the court ASAP. The bears still have a chance to squeeze into the playoffs. But the otule injury stings more.

It depends what you mean.

I feel worse for Otule because, like others have said, he gets a limited amount of time in college and he's been hit by major injuries twice already. I feel bad for the kid, especially considering how much he has overcome, how hard he has worked and how much he has improved.

That said, Cutler and Forte are a much worse loss for my team. They are, far and away, the two best players on the Bears offense and Forte had been getting some consideration for league MVP. Without them, the season is over. With them, the Bears would be 9-3 and staring at a very winnable playoff game in Dallas or NY. After that, who knows what can happen?

lab_warrior

Marquette basketball >>>>>>>>>>> other sports.  So Otule.

And yeah, with Cutler and Forte, the Bears win today by 14-17 points.  But they still get curb stomped by the Packers, and probably beaten in a road playoff at NO or Dallas.

This NFL season has been ungodly boring, and unexciting, the quality of teams in the league is so terrible.  And I'm not going to waste time talking about how the pass interference/roughing the QB rules have turned the NFL into a complete GASH-fest.

Just hand the Packers the trophy now and save everybody a whole lot of time.  No one is beating them.
