THis may have been discussed before in regards to bball...

In the time before Meyer was hired at OSU, but after he left Florida, could Meyer have as much/whatever kind of recruit contact he wanted? Would this help him get recruiting kick-started at OSU?

PVMagic

Full discretion, huge Buckeye fan, and really pumped, and as a result, also very biased.

I'm sure he still has plenty of recruiting contacts throughout the south (personal, going beyond just his name); he's also bringing along his recruiting coordinator from Florida.  In addition to the midwest, OSU has always done pretty well in Florida, and this will only help.  Besides, OSU is a big enough program that it would take a quite a slip for the program to have to completely rebuild as far as recruiting is concerned.  I would bet he picks up a few solid recruits this year but I'd say that you will really see a haul next season (HS c/o 2013).

GGGG

The only concern I would have as a OSU fan is Florida's slipping the past couple years.  Were their classes under Meyer overrated???

Don't know about that, but I do know that the big bags of cash from boosters will help to get recruits interested in tOSU.

It's hard to judge this year, as MUschamp is trying to run a pro-style offense with players that don't really fit.  They may have performed differently in Meyer's scheme.

He should pull in quite a staff as well.  Current rumor is Mike Stoops for DC.

Will Urban Meyer be named Head Football Coach of the Ohio State University today?
Or will they wait to later in the week?

I think it is important for him to start recruiting, so the earlier the better.

*RING RING* *RING RING* November 28th called and they want their headline back.
