Jeronne Maymon turned into a real solid player. The past is the past so there is no need for foolish talk about how our team would be with him but ive watched him a little since he transfered and he had been nothing special at all. Now this year in the tourney the guy is a damn beast and makes his free throws.

Glad he's finding himself successful now.

As I typed this......he just sent the gaem to OT with a hell of a move.

I could be way off, but is it logical to think that Maymon's departure lead us to Crowder?

MUMac

I think the move farther away from Madison may have been helpful to him.  He seems to have found it this year.  Last year he still seemed a lost soul on the court.

From all I have heard about him in Madison is that he is a good kid.  Would have loved to see him succeed at MU, but wish him no ill at Tennessee.

Not off at all. Thats why I said the what if game is pointless. Maybe we still would have ended up with Crowder, but Jae certainly wouldnt be the same player for us if Maymon were here getting some of his minutes(more so last year).

Just wanted to point out he finally seems to have turned the corner.

As someone unable to see the game right now, and I ask this in all sincerity - I see he is listed as a forward, but where is he playing on the floor?

PGsHeroes32

Im pretty sure he's there 4, it seems like Hall is their 5. He just fouled out though. Makinjoula is the only listed center on the roster that I see at least of guys who play.

the 4... same role as he would have filled if he had stayed w MU... I do believe the distance from Madison is a plus for his developement as a man/player.  He looks great and I'm glad to see it.

ErickJD08

Jae is a better 2 than Maymon. Just sayin

He is still in the game.  Just missed the shot to win it.  Going to second OT.

I meant Hall fouled out. My bad.

28 points, 16 rebounds and 16 for 17 from the freethrow line.

He looks quicker than last year.

SaintPaulWarrior

After re-reading the post I guess you could read it either way.  He has 30 and right now.

PGsHeroes32

I would like to add as nice it would be to still have Maymon. I am sure as heck glad that Junior is our PG and not this Trae Golden guy. Is he playing drunk?

Holy crap.. 32 & 18? Is this the same guy who was the only guy not to play in their blowouts last year?

Yeah.. Pearl wasn't using him right.

It is amazing how much most players improve. That is why we should not be so hard on Blue or any other young player for that matter. T

Exactly. This is why I am really pumped for when Jamil Wilson sees his role increase. Maybe not this year but he will be doing big things real soon as well.

Good for Jeronne. He could have been a nice player at MU and he never actually wanted to transfer, but I can't help but think that he's better off being 700 miles from Madison.

mugrad2006

Not happy about what happened while he was at MU, but hard to hold a grudge based on the decisions of an 18 yo kid.  Wish him the best of luck this year and who knows, maybe he'll finally end up in a locked out professional league some day.

tower912

I'm happy for the kid.   It wasn't his fault his dad messed up.   Watching that game reminds me AGAIN of how much I prefer basketball to football.

That's an impressive amount of boards for a 2-guard.   ::)
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Freeport Warrior

good for him, thought he would end up like a dwight burke type player -- decent, give you a few rebounds and good d 6-7 ppg.  but 32 points. wow. how did he get them?
