There's an argument for DJO...

But no, it's number two, Vander Blue.

Markusquette

Vander for sure.  Made some smart plays and didn't force anything until the end.  Also the threes at the end of the first half were huge.

Yeah, I don't even know if a poll is necessary.  Unless you want to argue for Mayo for shutting down Jones!

An easy one.  Great game by Vander.  Actually three solid games from him so far.

Best bench player and newcomer definitely goes to Mayo.  He will be in the rotation with that scoring ability and defense.

Jamil Wilson had 4 big points late.   ;)   But how can't it be Blue?  His points came at a time that MU decided the game.

Just checked his stats. I don't know if they are exact, but 0 to's? That is a step in the right direction considering how much he had the ball in his hands. Would like to see more boards out of him  ;).

Didn't see the game but looking at shooting percentage, wow.
Nice to see.

Could he turn into a solid third come Big East? Looks like he may. I know it's Bucknell, but if he hits a little over 75% from the line look out.

if he didn't have any turnovers, which i think he had at least one, he did have 2 or 3 questionable passes in one stretch.... but seriously he looked really good, very interesting

I can't recall any actual turnovers, but he did get stuck in the air pass the ball twice to a trapped teammate who then turned it over.

Great game for Vander regardless

Jamil's scores and block at the end did help beat the spread...

But honestly, I was so happy to see Vander lighting it up today.  On another note: Mayo looks like that zone breaker we've needed with his range.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

26 points?  Helluva summer Vander.  Welcome to Sophomore year.

Wade for President

Wow...3 games, and 3 different SOTG (and none have been DJO, although he could've taken him a few).  If this doesn't speak to our balance and depth, I don't know what will.

My concern thus far is the development of J-Wil.  For us to contend for a Big East crown (which I truly believe we can), we're going to need him to step up in a big way.

J. Wilson was my player of the game...

Obviously it was Vander, but I expect him to play well in the cupcakes as he did last year.  His game looks better than it did at any point last year, but he's going to have to prove it against better competition.  Love Mayo...couldn't believe how well he played defense, and his confidence on offense has been there from day one...

Still not a big D. Wilson fan.  I get he plays good defense, but so do Mayo and Vander.  D. Wilson brings nothing to the offensive end, so if Vander could spell Junior at point without turning the ball over, I'd rather see more time for Mayo, Jones, Wilson, possibly Anderson, etc.
