Friday Game Viewing? Young MU Alums?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any viewings of the Winthrop game on Friday. If all else fails, I'll try to get it at home, but my Internet likes to kick on and off at times, so I'd prefer to go out if anyone knows of a bar that will have it. I remember the Young Marquette Alums had regular viewing parties at the Garage last year, will this continue? Or are there any other bars in Milwaukee that will definitely have the game on?

The MU Young Alumni Association will be hosting away game parties again this year.  We're in the process of finalizing details - I should have more information regarding location and specials this afternoon.  I don't think there's any TV coverage for the Winthrop game, so I doubt there will be a viewing party but that's being looked into as well.

I'm not sure on where the game will definitely be on, however I'd be happy to get a beer or 6 and watch the game with fellow MU alum.

Please don't do it on the East Side again this year.  More MU fans show up to random bars downtown for impromptu game-watching parties than show up to the out-of-the-way places on North Ave.

Somewhere that's easily accessible by the freeway and with readily accessible would drastically increase how many people actually show up.

$3 Short Rails
$7 Long Island Liters

Freeway's always available for game watching. 

As I was leaving the game on Monday (I'll admit it was at halftime) I passed Freeway outside and asked him why he was late for the game.  He said it was because he didn't have a ticket.  I found that hard to believe but since I was in a hurry I didn't feel like following up with him and starting a 10 minute conversation.

Wow, I just reread my post and it came off more jerk-ish than I had intended.  My fault, just busy at work

The East Side only really works well for people living on the East side ever since they demolished the freeway spur heading over there.  You guys have some decent drink specials, I just think it'd be easier to draw a bigger, more diverse alumni crowd to something right downtown where there's easy freeway access and ample parking.

Are you 50? Do you live in Oak Creek (no offense to the OC, I'm a native Southsider)?  It's a young alum group.  Brady & North Ave are perfect locations.  Why the contempt?  Do they not let you into Jo-Cats?

I think they'll get more people by doing it somewhere on the East Side (Brady/North) than they would downtown...great job getting Replay - great space, lots of TVs, good specials (I suppose only being a block from my apartment helps too)

Also...It's still relatively easy to get to with minimal stopping...take 794 to Lincoln Memorial Drive. Go up Lafayette Hill and you're only 3-4 blocks away from North and Prospect/Farwell.

I was just talking to someone from the athletic department yesterday and then mentioned that the game vs Winthrop would be streamed.  I should have clarified, sorry about that
