Tough question to answer after what we've seen so far...I'm voting Davante Gardner, as I see him being able to consistently score whereas the others are wildcards.  Mayo might be a surprise candidate in the mix as well.  Vander too...

How awesome is this though to have a team with so much similar caliber talent, compared to past years where the drop off from 1-7 to 8-12 was DRASTIC?

Vander, only based upon fact I believe he will see the most playing time.

PGsHeroes32

Don't really care what the 1st two games indicated, I really believe that Jamil Wilson will still be the 3rd scorer. I think once he gets acclimated and finds a bigger role in the offense he will be big especially come big east play where his size, athletic ability and rebounding will be huge.

If Vander proves that his improvement can carry over against good teams, he has a solid chance as well.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

I voted Jamil Wilson as well, who IMO will be closely followed by Vander. Have to say though, I've been really impressed with Jamail in the early going. His energy looks like it will be tough to keep off the floor. Gotta love the guys making Buzz's job difficult in a good way.

Either Vander or Jamil, depends on who's starting come Big East time. Can't see anyone else (save Otule) getting enough minutes.

I think Junior should be an option.  I realize that he doesn't look to score often, but he takes opportunities when they are there.  I also think he will be 3rd in minutes behind DJO and Jae (and maybe Otule).  He has shown the ability to score against good competition (thinking specifically of WVU in the BE tournament).  If he continues to play with the confidence we've seen at the end of last year and through the first 2 games, I think he can do it.  Especially if he can hit that mid-range jumper consistently.

The same could be said for Otule, as he should see more consistent minutes than last year.  If he is getting rebounds and easy putbacks,I could see him averaging over 10 ppg.

I think that Junior will foul out of more games this year than anyone else on the team.

I voted for Otule but I'm really just happy that this question is being asked in a positive way as opposed to years past when we'd be wondering where the offense would come from after the top 2-3 guys.

I'd agree...not a lot of love on this board for Junior, but I think he'll have a solid year.  He's going to get a few points in transition every night, get a couple lay-ups/free throws attacking the rim, and also get a few free throws because he'll have the ball in his hands so much.  If he can knock down the open three he's in great shape.

Yes - Junior was an oversight of mine when asking the question, and listing the candidates - and I didn't think it would be fair to add him to the options after the fact..as he was at a disadvantage so the poll results would be potentially skewed.  No disrespect meant to Junior, and I'm looking forward to good things from him this year, and also agree he could/should be in the discussion as a potential 3rd leading scorer for this team..

I voted for Gardner. I think he is less likely to have several zero point games than the other players. Otule and Cadougan are as likely to score zero points as they are to score 10 points.

Chris has looked really impressive. He seems to be alot more confident and collected under the hoop. Since the beginning of last season he has done nothing but get better and better. If this trend continues Otule will be a valuable option on offense.

Concentrating on which person will emerge as a the third scorer is asking the wrong question.  The correct question is what will be the average points scored by the number three scorer because it will be anyone of those mentioned on any given night.

Also, remember when Homer and Mac renamed the 6th Man Award the Jimmy Butler Award because he was the only one who did anything.  No one is going to win that award more than two games in a row this year.
When we stop talking, really bad stuff happens.

Good point. It is nice to have a deep enough bench where anyone on any night can step up and play a big role. I think Derick Wilson can be a hero on defense on any given night.

Wish I could say the same...

Junior could be MVP and be the 7th leading scorer on this team.
