Junior Cadougan: “We Can Work It Out”

Written by: Mike Nelson

Buzz Williams said Dominic James was arguably the only true point guard he’s had starting for him during his first three years as Marquette’s coach. Now he has Junior Cadougan. The junior guard should fill the void at the point ... Continue reading →

Hmmmm...another source saying that Vander is learning to play point.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Does anyone else see something wrong here?  I thought JC looked like a natural PG.  He made some really crisp smart passes last season and last season was the first year we depended on him to play that position.  Furthermore, I though Blue made a ton of poor passes and he didn't have a natural ability to make good passes.  Oh well... "In Buzz We Trust" I guess

The way I see it, the more players you have with point guard skills, the stronger your team is.  Junior won't play 40 minutes a game.  Gotta have some guys who can cover for him when he's out.  Vander's going to play a lot of minutes somewhere, so it would be great for him and the team if some of those minutes are while Junior's on the bench (assuming that Vander becomes skillful at the point).

If you read the article, it was basically saying Cadougan was the PG, and that he'd have to help coach Vander and Derrick to back him up.  Just click the link, you'll see what I mean.
