Are Uggs and North Face fleeces still as prevalent on campus as they were when I went there (class of 2006)? I'm pretty sure a girl would be shunned from even remotely popular circles if you didn't have those items.

I can't tell you about the MU campus, but for my grammar school kids it's all North Face Fleece and at least Chinese knock-off Uggs (or Emus)........

ugly? yes, indeed..., but the Australian Uggs are oh so warm.  Even some FUggs (fake uggs) are cozy if using real fleece.
