So - I live out of state and just subscribed to DirectTV.

I noticed they have a FoxSports-Wisconsin channel that I can add-on.  Does anyone know if any of the non-conference games are televised on this channel?

I have actually never seen a game broadcast on FoxSports - Wisconsin. Most of the non-conference games are broadcast on Time Warner Sports Channel. Pretty much the only teams that play on FSW are the Bucks and Brewers.

I also have Direct TV outside of WI.  Every year I add the Sports Pack for the MU season.  MSG, SNY, and MASN carry almost all MU games not shown on ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN3, or CBS.  I just added it for $7 a month.  I think the cost varies based on what your main package is.  It is well worth it.

The above is true.  I pay $12.99/month for the sports pack. Thinking about calling and threatening to cancel and see if they can lower my price to $7/month like they did last year at this time for 6 months.  20 regional sports networks, total of 35 sports channels with 28 in HD.  Very much worth it.

Agreed...buy the sports pack thru Dish or Directv.  It gives you espnU sny masn, etc.  Those channels will pick up the local milwaukee channel 32 games in the OOC part of the schedule and then also all of the games that are not on espn2 or espn or espn3 during the conference portion.  Do not make the major mistake of paying $200?  for Full Court hoops you will not get those games.  Full Court hoops is a joke.

They only other channels worth a damn in the Sports Pack is Fox Soccer and GOLTV.

That Fox Soccer channel gets a lot of airtime in my house when my European in-laws make their summer visit.

At one time they used to, but since the ESPN contract, MU games have not been on Fox (FSN).

Did anyone have the DTV sports pack last year that lived in a TWC area?  I want to sign up, but only if they don't black out those channels.

94Warrior

Looking at the schedule, I did notice the Paradise Jam tourney is on FSN, and the LSU game is on FSN South.  First time in yrs, we have had games on Fox Sportsnet.

The Sports Pack on DirectTv or Dish will give you all the Fox Sportsnet channels plus SNY, MASN, etc that the Time Warner Sports/Big East Network games are televised on.

Get a Dish and the Sports Pack and you are all set (except for those of us in SE WI).  Time Warner blacks out the TWS non-conference games in SE WI (not nice)!

But since those are home games, I guess it's ok.  Those of us in SE WI should be at the game anyway!!!!!!!!!

Is it just the non-conference games that they black out?

94Warrior

Yes, that's how it worked last year.

The games that show only TWS (non-conf) were blacked out.
The games that show TWS/Big East Network (Big East games) were NOT blacked out in SE WI.

For $8 you can add the Fighting Irish games also. ;D
