Well...I guess the catholic conference would be the long term proactive thing, but definitely not as exciting as an option as joining up with the Big 12 castoffs.

It seems like adding teams will be the first option. 4 teams, at least, I guess would have to be added if the 5 schools dropout.

If those schools were added, the new Big East wouldn't be as strong at the top as the ACC, but still could pull 10 bids at the end of the day.

i'd add ia state and baylor too making the big east a 12 team football conference. baylor would give tcu an instate rival.

In other words, Mizzou doesnt want SEC, SEC doesnt want Missou. Ipso facto, Mizzou will join SEC.  Quality reporting, regardless of how true any of those statements are in and of themselves.
