What happened to Flavien Davis? 

Looked on the Loyola web site.  No Flavien.  Googled him.  He is at San Jacinto Community College. 

Was it academics?

He didn't qualify academically.  He has to complete JC, and earn his associates degree, for him to gain two additional years at the four year level.  Similar to the situation faced by Jae and Buycks.

Did he catch Loyola with their pants down, or did they know about his academic issues?

I think they had an idea that it might be an issue, but he didn't get through the clearinghouse last summer.  Ironically, when Davis didn't qualify, they added Chim Kadima from Milwaukee Lutheran.

Thats ironic...back in my ancient days Wisco Luth, and Milw Luth were fierce archrivals. Go Red Knights.

Actually I coached flavien davis the past week in a local showcase he mentioned he has offers from iona, montana st, and is now being recruited by texas tech who are going to befollowing his final year of juco. He said he has workouts for ok state as well. He was going against deonte burton. Burton is an absolute man child.
Here are the highlights of the first two days. There was also a jamil wilson sighting at the championship game.

Funny u askd but he jus seems like a big kid dat can really play ball. He really has a lot of schools on him but he is only a jr, he said he is weighing his options ala he got game. But I think he is just enjoying playing. But as you can se there's a lot of talent in milwaukee a lot of the players play juco ball just graduated h.s or play d3/naia. Some players there were ron patten, flavien davis, deonte burton, trent thomas, marcus smith, myles henry. Some nice college talent not all d1 but definately some scholarship quality athletes. If you wanna see some of the upcoming talent in the area sbscribe to the midwest baller youtube channel he films a lot of ball in the mke area. He has highlights of elgin cook this summer, darnell harris recent, deonte burton dis summer aau. And some great upcoming guards. Also Kevon Looney this summer too I know you guys wanna see him
If u wanna see deonte in person he will prolly be playing in next yrs showcase too.

It is Baba Fajembola. Fajembola is a 6'2 guard who played his high school ball at Whitnall. He is going to Howard College this year. Johnny Lacy also plays there.
