No, leave him banned.  Much less negative energy.

Isn't that what ignore options are for?  No, I'm not Chicos.  I did email him recently and some of you might want to say a prayer or two for his family.  Appears they have been going through some medical issues.

They have my prayers.

Praying for the best for Chico's fam.

Though many of us may disagree, we are all MU fam. We must support each other.
And how you do it is totally up to you.

Though many of us may disagree,

Despite any online disagreements, I honestly hope everyone here hopes for nothing but the best in the personal lives (health or otherwise) for the other members of the board.  That includes stated and unstated issues.

Perhaps it's my pollyanna hope showing through.

mu_hilltopper

That's a change in policy.  For the first few years of Scoop, we used voodoo dolls to place curses on banned users.  2011 we turned soft and wished them well.

Tee hee hee.

I hope the best for Chicos family and pray that their health issues improve.

Obviously, Chicos online behavior has bothered just about everyone he encountered, hence his banning by most (all) boards he was a part of.  I think the mods here gave him a lot of slack, and he continued to piss in their Cheerios.  One angry dude.

I wish no one ill will and I hope Chicos is alright.

I do think it is amusing though that Hoopaloop, who came around at about the time of Chico's first banning, also knows him well enough to share a few emails with him.

An amazing, fascinating coincidence, to be sure.  ::)        Good luck, hoop....errr....chicos

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that picked up on this.  In fact, I've had a suspicion for quite some time that this whole Chico's thing is nothing more than a facade put on by some bored teenager who's holed up in his/her mother's basement.  This thread has done everything but dissuade.

Whatever the case may be... someone here is indeed ill.  If not someone in Chico's family, it's whoever is going to great lengths to shape the "Chico's" avatar.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

No Chicos is a real person.  I didn't know exactly who it was until  but I was told last week by a classmate of mine that I apparenly threw a beer on him sometime during my junior year.

Good for you.  I'm sure he said/did something irksome to deserve it.

So what exactly led to him getting banned?

MU B2002

Find his profile and go to his last post.  The mods explain in that thread.  Thought I would point you in the right direction since you have asked a couple times. And maybe in return you can explain to me how Roy Will starts ahead of Knox.

Roy Williams should be cut.

Thank you sir, I'm not on here as often as I'd like to be and found it interesting that he got banned.

Don't be shocked if Williams doesn't make the team. Have heard Cutler doesn't trust him at all. In the end, Bennett will be Bears top wideout this year.

Right Back at ya'.

Simply my saying two words "not humorous"  was hardly an indictment, and I am sorry if you thought I took something too seriously...such that I needed to lighten up...I certainly get that you were joking...its just that....

IMHO,
"place curses on banned users"...was a shade in poor taste, especially next to posts about Chico's family medical issues.

We agree..It was a joke-- I just didnt laugh-OK?

It was very explicitly stated that the curses were only placed pre-2011.  Presumably, one would have to assume that the onset of recent family issues is exactly that - recent, and therefore would have been post-curse.

Personally, I don't see it as poor taste; unless, of course, you believe time is cyclical, in which case, let many curses be placed upon Hilltopper 100 years from now.

Is it not ok I did not see it as funny--geez
Pre 2011, or not,.. joking on cursing another person...is not, to me , a knee slapper.
Bear in mind, here, I didnt think this was from inception, any big deal-- thats why I only posted two words.."not humorous" ...in response.

Likewise, I'm not changing my mind that it was funny. I have been told many times my jokes here arent funny...so what.. I dont respond to the non laughing responder...with a lighten up Francis... I accept that which I may see as funny, another person may not.

I dont mean to upset anyone...but please allow me the simple freedom to not laugh.

This is way more posted on than deserved. I wont add to its extension, by any more postings...feel free to have the last word....or, Please move on. Thank you, in advance, either way.

Of course anyone has the right to "not laugh". Humor is, after all, subjective. Writing "not humorous" and subsequently suggesting the subject was in and of itself unworthy of humor is of course a far cry from just not laughing. Hence the well deserved "lighten up". A "get over yourself" might also be added.
