From a post on *another board* I made a little while back.. in celebration of the end of the wicked witch of the west, I better post something of substance here, I suppose...

He has been at Benilde-St. Margaret's, for three years.. this is also where Jordan Taylor went.. and Devean George.. and 2012 Isaiah Zierdan (sharpshooting off guard... traditional).. and me (sharpshooting benchwarmer... traditional).

But, now Kyle is heading to Hotchkiss (where Derrick Wilson was) for 2 years, as he is reclassifying to 2013.  He's a young guy for his class.. super long and can run... right now can erase shots and do other things defensively.. I think he may figure out a nice mid-range game... his frame probably won't ever hold a lot of weight, but that's fine...

This summer he has remained in Minnesota, playing with the Howard Pulley Panthers 17U squad (Nike EYBL team) as well as 'their' team in the ProAm (similar to Jim Ganzer's setup - that is, another NCAA certified league, with some college kids, including the majority of the Gophers, as well as some pros).

As of now, I think the other D1 offers he has are from Becky, Drake, Iowa State and Penn State.

Re: Kyle, he's certainly one to keep an eye on.  There are other reasons why reclassifying to 2013 makes sense - including his physique and age (end of August birthday - he's still 16).

He'll get to play alongside with a real center (Virginia commit Mike Tobey) at Hotchkiss as well.

I've seen Washington a number of times in person, including high school games, AAU games and summer ProAm games.  He's probably a good 6'9" and very thin.  His length is excellent and he can run down the court well... always has been able to pass from the high post, but lately it seems his shot from there improving.  Nice lefty stroke from 12 feet out.  If he can get some solid back to the basket moves down, his offensive game could turn out pretty good.  There is work to do, but the potential is there.

As of now, defensively his length allows him to cover a lot of area and if you're watching him, you can usually count on him for a couple of nasty swats each game... lets his emotions show a bit at times.. last week in a game his ProAm team lost by one, he yelled out an explicative for the entire gym to hear once the buzzer sounded.  I could do without that.  In another game also last week (which they again lost by one), he missed a free throw late in the game... slapped his hands together and said, 'come on!  that's free money right there'.. that one I kind of liked.

Has the ability to elevate his game from where it's at now.. if he does, could turn out being a real nice player.

Not sure who you are referring to...if it's Mbakwe like I think you're trying to, he went to St. Bernard's

Me too. What year? Pretty cool to see a BSM kid offered, although I have never heard of Kyle.

Looong ago.  I was at BSM in the early nineties (OK, technically also at the tail end of the eighties as well).

Get real dude, I can be a total creep.  Last chick I dated was more than 5 years younger than that dog-boy Carrie (totally legal though).

Bet you have some hot assistants.

Is there some other need for assistants?
