It's at least 10 times longer than any of the top seeded NC teams ever have to go.

UCLA has not played in NCAA game outside the state of California the past two years except for the Final Four.

ChicosBailBonds

Just my opinion, but UCLA should have been a #1 seed.  They were #2 in the RPI, played in arguably the toughest conference in the country (validated in this tournament).

Because of the lack of west coast teams, the top team in the west is almost always going to be very close to home.

If Texas A&M hadn't lost to Memphis in their "home" game, they would have played Ohio State today in San Antonio for the Final Four.

Georgetown is closer to East Rutherford than UCLA is to San Jose.  So if you're going to complain about UCLA...
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.
