MU alumni newsletter says: Brad Galli, Comm '11 has accepted a sports reporter position with ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV in Detroit. Galli, a Detroit native, has had work featured on ESPN and Palestra.net and was the sports director of Marquette's student-run MUTV for the past two years.

Not a surprise at all. Starting his career at the ABC TV station in Detroit is a huge accomplishment! I'm sure he'll be a success and a star in no time. Outstanding young man and a real credit to MU.

He's a Brother Rice grad from Detroit if I remember correctly.

I'm happy for Brad he did a great job at MU.  That just goes to show you if you put your mind to something and work very hard you can overcome any obstacle, and believe me, going to Brother Rice is a huge obstacle.

Not surprised... Galli was top notch at MU and those ESPNU appearances made it clear that he was ready for prime time.

Thats why I chose not to go into journalism at MU. Honestly though, good for him for going after it. I hope he does well
