Brendan Jackson, Celtics Hub: When I see Jimmy Butler, I can't help but think about Paul George's defense on Derrick Rose in the first round of the playoffs. If Butler does not become a star in this league, he could easily find himself filling the "James Posey" role for the next 10 years.

I like Butler but I do think he has a ton of limitations that could be exposed at next level. One big issue I see in him is that he a slow jumper. I hope he hits a home run, but think he has better chance of being Novak than Matthews.

Goose - I disagree...Jimmy to me is a much faster leaper, and has a better vertical than Wes ever had or will have.  Jimmy was at 39" at NBA draft workouts.  Wes really isn't that explosive (nor is Jimmy for that matter...but on overall explosiveness..I'd give the edge to Jimmy.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

There's a reason that Boston brought him back for a 2nd workout just a week after his first.  There's something special about Butler :)

As someone who watches a more than average amount of Celtics basketball (TOMMY POINT!), Jimmy fills an ENORMOUS need for that team.  They need a guy who can give good minutes off the bench for both Allen and Pierce, those two guys wore out as the season/playoffs went on, their collective tank was on "E" against Miami.
