Miami needs a coach
« on: June 13, 2011, 09:25:27 PM »
Someone needs to direct this team and slap them upside the head when necessary.  Spoelstra? Really?

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

Not sure they can afford much more.  I think they have the talent, just need leadership when the game is on the line. Who leads that team?

Miami needs LeBron to get out of the corner he hides in for fourth quarters. He needs a "just give me the damn ball attitude" not disappear.

Why do they give LeBron chicken wings without bones?

Because he has a tendancy to choke

Spo looked pretty brilliant taking out the COY Thibs just one round prior to the Finals.

I think it was game 3 where Wade was yelling at lebron during a timeout
No doubt to me that Miami is Wade's team. I also think that public flogging/embarrassment may have been the beginnning of the end for lebron in the finals.

you mean when lebron was hitting ridiculous fadeaway 3s at >50%? His average is somewhere around 30%. Easy to coach when one of your players is shooting lights out

I actually thought Mario Chalmers played pretty well in that role.

I think they need some more guard depth off the bench, and a big badass defender in the lane.  They need someone to do for them what Tyson Chandler did for Dallas.

A coach is very good when his players perform. He is very poor when they don't.

Case in point: did Phil Jackson suddenly become a bad coach this season? The Lakers were heartless. Closer to home, Buzz was crap on March 5th and great on March 19th according to many fans. Difference? Player performance.

For a third year guy, Spo isn't bad. The whole team, and coach, needs time to grow together.
