Nobody is writing him off. People are merely pointing out (correctly) that many around here would rip both player and coach if MU had a guy rated that high flop his freshman year that badly.

When any reasonable person compares the rankings and expectations to the production they get flop. An unreasonable person would compare him to a group of lower ranked, lower expectation players of similar height who had similar freshman stats and see no flop.
