Not only have blogs added to the speculation, but also ESPN. The article on Tubby's recent resignation and move to Minnesota lists Crean as a potential successor and Crean was also mentioned as a potential UK hire on PTI today.

Back to the blog article posted, I think that saying Crean is 70% likely to leave for UK is over the top. I totally understand the reasoning for putting the likelihood that high (UK is one of the few elites in the country, recruiting would be better, etc.) but the crucial factor not mentioned is the fact that he signed the huge extension last year. Not only does that tie him up financially, although its not like UK doesn't have the resources to buy him out if they really want him, but signing for ten years is a big commitment from Crean. By doing that, he's basically saying that he's committed to the program and not just the money he's getting from MU. Finally, I really don't see Crean high on UK's list simply because he's primarily a PR coach. UK doesn't need the PR being an elite program and Crean isn't always the best in game coach so I really don't see a good fit there.
