Well, these pictures are of a much happier Bradley Center.

This was the picture of Trend's alley-oop.  Unfortunately, I wish I would have clicked it .3 seconds earlier.  And really, a still image just doesn't do this any justice!

Let's give it up for the walk-ons, Craig, here's your internet glory:[/font]

And you make both of these FTs.

And here's Tommy Brice's last second shot.  Let's just pretend he hit it to win the game with .3 left.

nice pics!  thanks for sharing!
thing that I notice is that everyone has much beterr position and spacing.. and 99% of the time they are in motion not just standing around.  all very good!! you can almost see the energy radiate!

btw - any comments on the crowd at the bradley center tonight?

Man... I wish I could see that Trend alley-op... the guys on the radio were very impressed.

THanks for sharing the pics!!

The crowd was .. maybe 10% less than yesterday.  The student section was 30% less than yesterday, however.   I'd say about .. 7000 butts in seats.  The crowd never really got going, as the team didn't "need" help, so to speak.  Obviously there was a lot of cheering for the many 3s, alley oops, steals, etc.

Honestly, *I* didn't see Trend's alley oop.  I was making sure the camera was framed and suddenly heard "AOOOOAHHHHHHHH" and clicked the shutter.  Stupid taking pictures.

SoCalwarrior

Great pics.  You're compiling quite the collection.

We should have a photo gallery as one of the links or sections on this site.  Is that possible guys?

MUshrooms

Awesome pictures, thanks! Great win!

DOh!  I keep fogetting to do that!  Once the new server is in place...I promise.

in addition to the photo gallery, feel free to head over to the wiki and make a page for the game in question and fill it with details and photos :)

guess I know where you sit now!
;)
will look for the camera next time I'm in my section 101 seats.

thanks for sharing the shots.

I guess I am curious what people think .. as an amature photographer myself, I think those pictures are pretty poor .. I'm squeezing all I can out of my 3 year old 4 megapixel camera.  Am shopping around for something to better cover these games.

I'm guessing people who see the pics are beggars, not choosers, when it comes to game photos, though.

TVDirector

move your cam with the movement of the players ever so easily and snap.
this way they're not running through your frame, and you freeze the action better.
may help the fuzziness of the players in motion.

nice job!

mu_hilltopper

Yeah, that's really not the answer!

Why?  I like to actually watch the game.

What I do, is hold the camera up, briefly look at the framing to make sure I'm pointed at the court, then hold the button half way, and hold the camera relatively still.  Then I can just watch the game unfold, instead of actually viewing the game thru a little 3 inch monitor.  When something happens, I release the shutter.  Bingo.

The problem is, though, at high zoom, there's little room for camera shake, but also, not much light .. so it's a delicate balance between shutter speed and ISO.  Too slow and it's blurry .. too fast and it's dark .. high ISO and the cropping is way too noisy.   I've found I can go dark though, and lighten it in post-processing .. I learn something new every game, though.   Generally I take about 60+ pictures which yield about 10 decent shots, but most of the bad shots are just .. poor composition.  Can't plan where the guys are when you take the shot, whether it will be a cool picture or not.
