Teams I'm hearing with Earnest Ross, former Auburn wing: West Virginia, Marquette, Missouri. He's a Raleighwood native.

Ross averaged 13.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He shot 79.3 percent from the foul line.

A 6-5 junior guard from Cary, N.C., Ross played in all 31 of Auburn's game last year.

I think by this point it is safe to say that we are going to have at least one more guy in here for next year.

Safe to say we'll have additional names, but not sure if they'll be in for next year. A lot of transfers being rumored here, which means not seeing them on the court until 2012.

Looking at the Ross bio, he comes from a navy family and spent time in cities around the U.S. and oversea's.  He does list Chicago as the town where he was raised even if he went to high school in the Raleigh area.

Besides the potential Chicago connection, there's a chance he and DJO know each other and it wouldn't surprise me if Bart Lundy was looking at him when Bart was at High Point.

Why are we always linked to the same players as West Virginia?

Because we are both high profile BEast schools with roster openings.

Junior highlights for Ross in his high school years.  Has the frog-leg jumper going.

Wow. During one of his (steal that led to a) breakaway dunk, he almost hit the back of head on the backboard!
