Nobody there seems very enthusiastic about it, kind of a "best we can do" attitude.

Interesting.  I think Illinois is the better job. 

Weber got hurt badly by Sampson stealing Eric Gordon away from him (at least that is how some view it) and Jon Scheyer not picking Illinois.  He almost won a title with Self's players and is two near miss recruits from sustained success.  Now, Weber has an incredible class coming in and he wants to go to OU?  Who knows what to think of the rumors over on that board.

Not sure how he is a good fit down at OU either.

Believe it or not, this makes a lot of sense for both parties.

OU needs a proven name that's won in a major conference.

And Weber is staring down a new AD and University President in Champaign plus is getting a ton of heat from Illini fans from consistent underperformance over the last several years.  

It could work for both parties; $64,000 question is, would Jerrance Howard get the Illinois job right away or follow Weber to Oklahoma?  If he goes to Oklahoma with Weber, it could be a smash hire.

Once again OU's media is over hyping the story again. Multiple reports are saying Weber is staying at Illinois.

OU seems to think they can get whoever they want, however, all of their choices are putting up a big NOT INTERESTED sign.

Personally, aside from KU and Texas, I don't find any of the B12 schools to be interesting, and they'd have to pay me a lot more to be at any of them over any other BCS conference school.

Fishing?  Doesn't appear that way, although I'm sure OU pr will declare whoever they hire as their "top choice" all along.  OU is swinging and missing regardless of the genius Castiglione may or may not be, and it's making him look bad.
