I have to admit I'm a little concerned.  With MU out of the tourney, JB doesn't have anyone else from the team to practice with.  But, I'm still confident in Jimmy.  I'm voting number 3.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

rocky_warrior

I have to admit, after Jimmy lost that sweet 16 game, I thought he might be eliminated from the tournament.  But he's shown great resolve to come roaring back with a chance to beat VCU.

brewcity77

All due respect to VCU, but this isn't Kansas, this is James F. Butler. And for those not keeping track at home, the "F" doesn't stand for "Friendly". Jimmy wins in a rout, and gets to sit the last 8 minutes so he's well rested for Monday.

PVMagic

It's a close game throughout the contest.  With 7.7 seconds left, Buzz calls a timeout to write up a play for JFB while "Party in the USA" plays over the arena speakers.  Jimmy nails the buzzer beater for the win.

HoopsMalone

Close game, but VCU is forced to forfeit as the entire team falls for Jimmy's pumpfake 5 times each and fouls out.

Jimmy decides to press late in the first half which gives him momentum.

timinatorx3

I must admit, after Jimmy lost twice to UWM earlier this season I had my doubts about whether or not he'd even make it to the tourney. But here he is, never shall I doubt JFB again. Jimmy wins a laugher.

Pakuni

The disappointment of last year's tourney exit at the hands of an 11 seed still resonates with Jimmy.
He won't let it happen again.
Jimmy wins, and you would be wise to take the over.

Sharpie

Best thread I've ever seen.

Wareagle

Jimmy wins going away against VCU, but only after he temporarily changes his citizenship and wins the Cricket World Cup for India earlier in the day.

Lighthouse 84

We are talking about the full size JFB right?

Take JFB in a rout and lay the 13.5 in the 2nd half.  There's a new "money" in town and his name.........is Jimmy F. Butler.

VCU?  Pshh.  Give Jimmy the Miami Heat.

Stuckin1977

I figured Jimmy would be able to sit out the second half, so D was the closest option to that.

SaintPaulWarrior

How about Hurricane JFB vs. VCU?

The Man in Gold

The run-and-gun style of Mr. JFB pays off big time as he manages to record a triple-double in the first half behind 3 Sportscenter worthy alley-oops to Jimmay Butlah'.  Eventually Jimmy pulls out to a strong lead 46-27 at the break.

However in the 2nd half - due to the fact that Jimmy is forced to play the full 200 minutes - he eventually slows down the pace and easily cruises to victory using a modified 4 corners offensive strategy where he defies the space-time continuum as he manages to occupy all 4 corners at the same time. Coming away with a victory and a Nobel Peace prize, Jimmy wins 73-58.

While I like this thread, it does fall short of the Mbakwe thread and the Paraguay soccer thread.

MU B2002

JFB is the reason Trevor left.  And yes, he calls him Trevor.

He was lucky to survive giving up 72% 3pt shooing to VCU though.  He's got to get that tightened up before the championship game.
