Its nothing that everybidy doesn't already know, but if we don't tighten up the FT shooting next season we won't be advancing in the tournament again. I need to go to my toes to count the number of teams that lost or failed to close out games because of missed FT's. Definitely should be an area of focus between now and next season.

I thought our free throw shooting improved towards the end of the year. Matthews, Cube and Fitz all stuggled early in the year but ended up being very solid.  James and McNeal need to become more consistent.  Also Acker was an 80% free throw shooter his freshmen year and Christopherson is a good free throw shooter as well.   The key will be the bigs next year.  Burke was brutal and needs to somehow get his average up to 60%.

this brings up a good question.  Who will handle the ball in the final minutes next year?  If I am the opposition, I always can sneak back in by fouling James.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

I haven't looked at the numbers, but I'm pretty sure Burke made it to the line about once every game the last 6 or 7.  He made ONE free throw out of all those attempts.  Burke is really going to have to work hard to earn his minutes next year with Mbakwe and Hazel coming in to challenge him.
