A post by Ners in another thread reminded me about the Tokoto decision earlier this year. No doubt he is not having second thoughts about his decision, but given his presence as numerous MU events and games, I imagine he has cheered for us plenty.

Does he feel torn about who to root for at all? Does he already have NC blue in his veins and is purely rooting for them?

UNC.  Even if we win Friday he will have no doubts about his choice.

He will be slurping the UNC Kool Aid. All the more reason to beat UNC. Rain on his parade.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I presume JP won't be attending too many MU or UW games next season..... ;)  Oh well, he can always watch UW-M at the Klotsche Center.... :D

Even though he hasn't chosen them yet?

That's true, Buzz has 7 months to get Tokoto to flip...he's just getting started now with new clout.    :D

If I was a UNC commit, I'd be rooting for them.

Don't think getting him to flip will happen, however, along that hope, one great way to make it happen is to whup UNC's ass this Friday--that will sure start the brain waves churning.

He's chosen them so far, but he will have to sign the line which is dotted to make it official.  Kids do change their minds....LeDaryl Billingsley, Vander Blue, etc..Can't remember the kid's name that switched to Madison at the 11th hour instead of MU.

I still find it distasteful that Tokoto has turned his back on Marquette and Wisconsin just like Joe Wolf did.  You would think that their would be an allegiance to play for either of the state schools who have outstanding programs.   Why jump ship?

Why would there be any sort of "allegiance?"  What does JPT owe to either MU or UW?

Ricky Olson?
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

I find it distasteful that you actually think this.

I'm sure JP will be pulling for UNC...but somewhere in his heart (and his families), I'm sure they won't be totally devasted if MU beats UNC...and they might even be a little happy for Buzz...and the guys on the team.

I do imagine that Roy's courtship of both JP and Bronson K - and knowing MU has recruited both - will give Roy a little extra juice to want to win this game...as it would be a bit of a slap in his face if the 11th seeded "local" team of JP's and Bronson's knock off his Tarheels.
"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."
