NCAA Ruling
« on: March 16, 2007, 03:10:29 PM »
from JSOnline:

FRIDAY, March 16, 2007, 3:09 p.m.
By Mark Stewart

Wisconsin teams barred from NCAA first half action.

In an emergency session called this afternoon, the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee issued a ruling that imposes a 2-year ban on all Division 1 teams from the State of Wisconsin from playing in the first half of any NCAA Tournament games. The ban can be lifted prior to the imposed 2-years if the teams can demonstrate that they can play a first half without stinking on ice.

In 40 minutes of 1st half action, UW-Madison and Marquette combined to score 37 points.
