To my disbelief too, how many MU fans could there have been if we had a game going on and it being an ND game?  I don't believe it.

I force my girlfriend to watch basketball and as I was sitting silent, trying to really figure out what they were saying, she asked "Why are they chanting, "We are Marquette"?"  Definitely distinct but I am still confused.  I could have sworn I saw the FSU cheerleaders pom pomming with the chant so I wasn't sure.

It really could have been but honestly did not sound ANYTHING like that.  It went on for about 15-20 seconds and I was thinking of anything that would make sense... FSU, SEMINOLES, NOLES... anything...

We need to hear from someone who was at the game.

I just went and watch the MMOD replay of the end.  It was definitely "We are....Florida State"

Started with 1:50 left to go in the game, and was lead by their cheerleaders.

Agreed, and I could hear some FSU chants in the background. That one was pretty distinctive, and didn't sound like any of theirs.

I was at the games... on Friday.  I skipped the Purdue game because MU was on at the same time.  MU and Illinois had the most fans there of teams not playing in Chicago.  I heard some We are ND chants, but no we are Florida State.  They played a lot of the tomahawk chop though. I gave my tickets to my parents tonight (Purdue season ticket holders) so I could watch MU and somebody could use my ticket.  So glad I did.

Through the TV, it definitely sounded like We are Marquette, but I did notice the FSU cheerleaders we also moving their pom poms in rhythm about the same time. Maybe there were just some MU fans near the mike that tried to take over the cheer at the time.
