The guy can make a shot, get some rebounds and hustles his rear end off.

It's Fulce...it's just too bad his knees don't let him be more.

Bruesewitz hits BIG shots.  I don't think Fulce ever hit a clutch, important shot.

But you are right that's what Fulce might have been without the injury.

You mean like a Jae Crowder-type player except with significantly less skill and ability? Totally agree with you  ::)

I think a healthy Fulce would be more than that for MU.  He would have been a difference maker, IMHO.  Athletic, quick, good hands, good leaper, nice shot.  It's a shame that he was not able to play to his ability - or anywhere close.

Weren't you watching the WVU game in the BE Tourney?  He hit some others last year, as I recall, as well.

The three Fulce hit in the WVU game in the BE tournament was pretty big. Momentum changer.

this kid is such a joke....there is no reason he should be any good at bball....i would hate a player like him

Why the hate...because of how he looks?  He is a good player.  He's going to the Sweet 16 and likely to the Elite 8 at a minimum.  Some teams need guys that do the dirty work, fundamentally sound, understand they don't have to be a star.  Have to admire that kid.

Boom. The haiku hammer drops.

Nearly every great team has a guy like Bruesewitz. Would love to have someone like him on Marquette no matter how he looks.

VegasWarrior77

Remember Joe Fulce was more highly regarded than Jimmy Butler!  Some compared him to a college version of Shawn Maron.  If not for his knee injuries he would be much better the carrot top!

What makes you say Elite 8 at the minimum? Have you not seen what Brad Stevens does in the tourney? Already ruling out Butler?

Huh?  Why is there no reason he should be any good at bball?

Players such as Bruesewitz and Gasser are tremendous role players in Bo's system. Would they have the same effect or results in Buzz' style, who knows? Make no mistake, though, they can play and are very valuable to the Badger success. Got to admire the results and the sum of the parts in this team game.

Fulce nearly single-handedly kept us in the Cincy game last year so we would have a chance to win it in OT. I'd love to know what could have been if not for his injuries.

I agree with Chicos. I love that guy and I think he'd be a huge fan favorite if he was at MU. Wisconsin is a solid, solid team and that kid, I think, is only a sophomore. I'd go so far as to say they were the best team I saw at the Bradley Center this year.

With that said, whoever said Fulce doesn't hit big shots is a total fool. In fact, I wish Joe would shoot more. I think he's one of our more "clutch" shooters.

Guess you missed watching his huge 3 against West Virginia last week then??

If he were on MU he would have to cornrow that Bozo hair.

Thanks. It was the Cincy game that I was thinking of.

Warrior_2002

All of you that are comparing Bruiser to Fulce...insanely ridiculous!  Crowder is not anything like Bruiser either.  You would ALL embrace him if he was at Marquette.  This is what I'm talking about when I mentioned the unnecessary Wisconsin hate...especially if you are from Wisconsin.  Cut the crap...how ridiculous.  Of course MU could use a guy like the Bruiser!
