1.  We Held Neitzel to 12 Points (lets just leave it at that)  ;)
2.  Ibok dislocated his elbow, not one of our guys (as horrible as this is, Kinsella fell as well, I feel for Ibok, that looked awful, but Im still wearing my Blue and Gold sunglasses, Im glad it wasn't one of our guys)
3.  Our Team Next Year will only lose Kinsella, Lott and Kuphall
4.  17 days till Brewers Opening Day!!!!!!!

I was just thinking about Number 4 myself.

I'll add two...

For the moment, there is still at least a chance that UW will suffer an even worse loss tomorrow.  Go Islanders!

I picked MSU in both my pools.

Makes our shellacking even more pitiful when their 6'11" center goes out in the first half.

I think holding Neitzel to 12 and still being spanked is worse...

At least we lost to a traditionally rich program in MSU.  The way we played tonight, we could potentially have lost to anyone in the tournament.  Imagine if we were a 4 seed.

5. The game was only seen by a fraction of the US, in WI, MI, and parts of MN and IL.

6. By losing on Day 1, team is able to get home quickly and start practicing free throws and jumpers and layups for next year.

7. Kinsella was able to finish year without injuring himself again.

8. Made ESPN analyst who picked MU for Final Four in December look silly.

Yes, the game was only seen by a fraction of the US, but...

I come to work today and our secretary says, "Wow, did they play that bad all year long?"

Deep breaths (I told myself).

It is the people who I have watched more basketball in the last 48 hours than they have in the last decade who bug me the most.  This is the big stage and they didn't deliver.  Now, even though a fraction of the US saw it, for a significant portion of that fraction, this is the only game they saw MU play.

Sure, their opinion in terms of basketball shouldn't and doesn't matter, but it is still annoying.
