Nova ends the year losing 6 straight

Wow.   Two straight years Jay Wright loses his team down the stretch.   Maybe he will go to Arkansas or OU and take the heat off.

I would take him off their hands so fast it would make their heads spin.

Big East....3 losses already with 1 guaranteed tomorrow.

Better than Stallings losing to two 13's and a 12 in the last three years.

BUT, if Pena and Yarou make the free throws in last minute, Nova wins.

Lots of free throws being missed in this tournament.

Nova really blew down the stretch. They just left guys wide open, looked real passive to me.

How dare you indict Stallings coaching ability..as he is Chico's coaching solution for MU.

Players have to execute..missing free throws isn't on a coach...coach has to put his team in a position to win games..

Really disappointed to see the Nova and Lville lose the way they did..both with leads with less than 20 seconds left.  Put those 2 wins on the board and we are something like 8-1, right?

Agreed. The game was theirs when they went up by 6. GMU was pretty much dead, and 'Nova let them right back in. Really poorly handled last 2 minutes.

No argument, but I guarantee if we win tonight, somebody on some Nova board is going to rhapsodize poetic about how they would rather have Buzz as their coach.

After Nova fires Jay Wright and Buzz does to OU, should we hire Wright?

Big East with 5 wins already.....too bad Nova was tanking at the end....Georgetown had the devastating Chris Wright injury at the wrong time, along with St. Johns and the DJ Kennedy injury and that the committee going out of their way to create potentially 2 Big East matchups in the second round.  Overall, no matter what the outcome is, a great season for the Big East.

I didn't see many of their games, but it seems as though they lost confidence and couldn't make any plays down the stretch the last month of the season.  I don't feel as bad for the players and the coaches, but it must be really tough for their fans.

Actually, my solution is Buzz staying.  If he chooses not to and goes against his "humble self" (his words" and leaves despite staying as long as well will have him, then there are a lot of potential solutions.

Vanderbilt is winning despite having much harder recruiting standards than we do, despite not even having an athletic department, and having to complete against such notoriously dirty programs like Tennessee, Kentucky, and the rest of the SEC.  He's definitely one of many that I would call.

He's from Illinois, played at Purdue, definitely a Midwest guy.  Something we need if Buzz leaves.  Something I argued 3 years ago that when Buzz leaves, the Texas and south pipeline goes BYE BYE

I'd be very happy if Stallings were hired (if Buzz left).  I just don't see him coming to MU.  Nonetheless, getting a chance to mess with you about his recent NCAA tourney performance was an opportunity I couldn't resist.

I agree overall with the content of your above post...

NCAA is a crapshoot....always has been for me.  Watching Nova fans go crazy when they were in the Final Four only 2 or 3 years ago is just a classic example.  The tournament...nothing like it. Have a bad day and you're home.
