Apparently someone else thinks MU got a rough deal.

MOST UNDERSEEDED: Marquette had five wins over teams in the RPI top 25 and seven against top-100 teams, and while they have 14 losses, 12 came to teams in the top 50. Yet the Golden Eagles are seeded 11th.

The selection crew butchered it, this year.

Underseeded? Definitely, but that may not be a bad thing. I look at some of the teams we might have faced in an 8/9 or 7/10 game, and I'd rather play Xavier. FSU, ODU, Illinois, even George Mason and Temple look scarier to me than Xavier does. We primarily need to contain one guy, count on Otule's defense, and beat a man-to-man defense, all of which suits us. And while I think Syracuse is a tough third round foe, I'd rather see a team we know we can beat as opposed to a tOSU, Kansas, or UNC if we want to make a Sweet 16.

Who cares about the seed? We'll be remembered if we make the Sweet 16, whether as an 11 or as a 4. And honestly probably moreso as an 11.

Exactly. And we at least are familiar with Cuse, we beat them once before and they are suseptible to poor shot selection and letdowns. So who knows. Also, when we beat them it was a 3 man show. Otule, Junior and Ox are much better now. If you look even farther ahead, Washington has a very real shot to be UNC and then who knows once again?
Just like last year when I thought things were favorable, I think things are this year. No we may lose friday our first game just like last year but we also could play for a while. Ill take this opportunity.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....
