I just posted this at Crackedsidewalks, but I am curious to learn how strong our brethren's faith in MU lies...

Be Honest Now

In the spirit of journalistic integrity, I will tell you where Marquette stands in my brackets.

I filled out two tourney sheets, coughed up $25, and had Marquette beating Michigan St. twice...and North Carolina once. And that's it.

Any one take MU any farther? If so, I am in awe of you.

Unless, of course, you picked the Marquettes to go to the Final Four in a "friendly" pool for no money. That pool is no friend of mine.

If Marquette can beat UNC in NC there's no reason they can't beat anyone.  Sadly in my pool I have UNC winning but I hope to God they prove me wrong!

IAmMarquette

out of the 8 or so brackets i filled out, i think i've got MU beating MSU in 6 of them, and MU over NC in 3 of those. I don't have us going any further than the sweet 16. I'd be pretty pleased to see us playing next weekend.

SoCalwarrior

I always pick MU to lose early.  That way, if they win I could care less about my bracket.

I'll be pretty pleased if we're playing this weekend.

the way I see it is I will go down with the ship... I have them beating UNC in all but 1 pool I am in... another way I see it is I have Texas winning... so I don't see myself losing the bracket due to the 2 points I get if UNC would beat Marquette... so might as well give it a try :)

pure genius stuff by Bill Simmons, remember to read day 2

I have to use the ol' gamble-with-your-head-not-your-heart approach.  I flip flopped on my 6 pools on them beating MSU but nowhere do I have them getting past North Carolina.  If they do though, I see no reason they should lose to anyone else in the bracket.
"Nice helmet!"
"Actually, it's not a helmet, it's a hairmet.  You see, it's got extra room in it so you don't mess up your hairdo."
"I'm going to write you a prescription for two testicles, you get it filled whenever."

My kid brother rolled into town. He has MU in the final game.

He went to the Culinary Institute, not Marquette.

I am both proud and humilated.

I'm 50/50 on beating MSU, with no bracket getting past UNC.  If we get past UNC then I think Georgetown is the only threat in the bracket.  I'd love to watch MU vs. Texas...McNeal would surely play and I know he could shut down Durant.
