Chicos - I'm surprised.  If anyone would claim to have that kind of inside knowledge, I figured it would be you.

Sounds bogus to me - but who knows.  Also, as noted in the thread, could be negative recruiting propaganda against Buzz.

TheButlerDidIt

The "Marquette fan" who posted has a big football under his screen name...troll?

NavinRJohnson

A new one indeed, especially since "his coaching style/recruiting" is the reason he was hired by said AD.

Nope....that's why I said it was the first I heard of it. I'd say bogus as well.

Chicago_inferiority_complexes

Can anyone confirm if Cottingham knows that we have a basketball program?

He seems like the most hands off person around.

It's weird looking at this posting history on Scout. Wouldn't hate MU, but doesn't appear to have any knowledge.

Either way... MU > TT. Buzz gets his raise and no one will be able to touch that number until an IU-esque comes calling down the road.

I don't see many games in-person.  But I beleive Cottingham has been at every game that I've been to the past couple years (mostly away games nonetheless).

Looking at his posting history, seems like he\she is commenting on every coaching possible hire.  Wake Forest, Tech, Clemson, etc

The statement that Buzz believes he can "do bigger things" at Texas Tech than MU lit up my BS detector.

Yeah, very weird.

Looks like the coaching jobs carousel, Lionel Hutz, "no evidence, just plenty of hearsay and conjecture!" season is upon us!  Now, who wants some SCOTCH??

I was moreso commenting on his personality than whether he goes to all the games.

Gotcha.  Been sick the last couple days, so I understood what you meant, though my reply certainly didn't keep up with the theme.

Cotty is at every home game, for certain.

So the Nebraska coach, who makes like $800k per year of a school that is in 8th place in the Big 12, would not likely bolt, but Buzz would? And he makes it sound like Texas Tech can simply "choose" a coach of its second-to-last place team in the third best conference in the country.

Keeyan Half Court Dunks

I can certainly see Benford going there based on the fact that he is a Texas Tech Alum and recruits Texas well.  If you can get Texas boys to Milwaukee, imagine how many you can get to stay in Texas.

MarquetteNation

turn marquette into milwaukee? i've never heard/read this gripe from anyone.
