Just an FYI...not sure I agree.  NO way we can lose to Providence.  Feel pretty good that if we beat Providence we'll be okay.

In The Mix
Marquette (18-13, 9-9; RPI: 53; SOS: 30)
Next game: Tuesday vs. 14-seed Providence in Big East first round

All the goodness of the OT win at UConn was washed away with a home loss to Cincy, compounded by a poor effort in a loss at Seton Hall. Now, Team Bubble Watch is vulnerable to a snub and would have no right to complain if it happens. If they get past Providence, they get a manageable second-round game vs. West Virginia Wednesday night. I think they'll need to win that one to feel on solid NCAA footing.

GW: at UConn plus a trio of good home league wins (WV, ND, Syracuse)
BL: at Seton Hall. 13 overall

"I'm not sure Cadougan would fix the problems on this team. I'm not even convinced he would be better for this team than DeWil is."

2 wins would lock us in.  We can feel safe after that so its a good point.

If we lose game 2, I won't feel 100% sure personally.

I'm not sure I agree with some of what he said, but the part I bolded does worry me.  I know it's a "soft bubble" this year.  I know the committee says that they don't consider conference affiliation.  But I'm still concerned that when push comes to shove, they won't put 11 Big East teams in the tournament.  I'd hate to be the one they leave out.

A couple of wins in the BET would certainly help the case...
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

At this point, I don't think anyone could really call us a "snub" if we were left out, nor could anyone really say we are undeserving of a bid. As several of the recent (great) posts have demonstrated, there's sort of a pool of teams from which you could pick any 20 teams, and the other 10 wouldn't really have a legitimate gripe. Any group of ~20 would be as good as any other.

I agree that we absolutely must win on Tuesday. A good showing on Wednesday (win or lose) should be enough.

There is still decent chance we lose to Providence and get in(clearly dont want that)

If we beat Prov we are a 10 or 11 im almost certain. But i want to win more than that.

Give me UL again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
