Hmph, I doubt either coach is thinking that way.

And yes, they have talked about Crean replacing Izzo at Michigan State someday, though the longer Izzo sticks around, the less likely that seems.

"He's had a lot of offers already," Izzo said. "I think he's got a pretty good gig there if you look at facilities, backing from the administration ... a lot of neat perks that are different from private schools. So No. 1, I don't know what he would be interested in, to be honest with you. There was a time early we talked about it."

Interesting, never thought about it, but I wonder is part of the reason Crean has stuck around is because Izzo encouraged him to stay?  Just a speculative twist.

That comment about UNC is what the Detroit media does. They always find some negative about MSU, they are very umich biased. 

I guarantee that Izzo has encouraged Crean to stay at MU. He has a good thing going there. And I doubt that Crean to MSU has much weight to it. When Izzo does leave (hopefully not for a long time) the rumors around here are that assistant coach Jim Boylin will be the successor. Without football to compete with and already being in a big time conference, it would be hard to believe that Crean (for me at least) would leave any time soon. Unless Puke or someone like that want him badly.
