Tie-breaker is to treat tied teams as a miniconference, so right now we are 9th with a 2-2 mark against the other 9-7 teams tied for 7th through 11th.  However, gtown at 10-7 could be tied with the others for 6th through 11th, so assume the top 3 of these get in (only a depaul upset of syr drops the orangemen into the mix)

Mini-conference (with gtown - top 3 get byes)

Nova 4-2 (but might drop out of mini with final 2 at pitt and at nd)

Uconn 4-2 (wvu left)

Cincy 2-2 (at mu and gtown left)

Gtown 2-3 (at cincy left)

Marquette 2-3 (cincy left)

Wvu 1-3 (host uconn left)

Keep in mind whoever drops out of tie is no longer factored in record so a win over cincy and we prob get a bye given who nova and gtown (wallace out) still have on road.

We have two games left.  Why bother with the what if scenarios.  Just win.

Tell that to the about 50 bracketology sites that keep updating daily. Those are what ifs also. It is March Madness.

I enjoy following it all, pulling for teams that can help MU get in/a better seed in the BEAST or NCAA tourney, etc.  I'm not an MU coach/players so I really don't need to focus on the Cincy game.  I have picked out my winning MU gear for Wednesday night, and even picked the pre-game restaurant already.

If we win the last 2 and finish 11-7 most of those teams will be in our rear-view mirror.

11-7 would most likely land us in 6-7th place in conference, giving us a bye in the Big East Tourney.  I'll take it.
