Kudos to Cadougan

Hit what might be one of the most important shots of the entire season.

And he's the best passer on the team.  Even in traffic, he can find the open man.

It's great to see his progress this season. Leaps and bounds from November.

Junior made a really nice pass to Buycks late in the game on that one fast break. A real crucial basket for MU at the time. I can tell you that no other player on MU's team makes that pass and gives Buycks such a high percentage basket.

And of course "good" DJO resurfaced!  But, you could see how proud/happy Buzz was for Junior when he hit that 3.  Guts of the game, and a huge shot - and he delivered.

Vander and JC showed up big tonight. VB hit some clutch free throws when things were going to hell, and JC hit a clutch three (I can't believe I typed that) and he made an amazing pass to cut into the league on a fastbreak to Buycks.

DJO definitely deserves SOTG for what he did in OT, but he rode the engine of VB, DB, JC and even Otule to get there.

I really enjoy watching Junior distribute.  He is so good with the ball and seems to take smart shots.  Huge 3!

Agreed, this one took the whole team - but we only allow 1 SOTG (except for the Frozena co-stud controversy).

I'm sorry but I'm still not sold on Cadougan, what, he makes one 3 and we are ready to annoint him?
other than his passing ability he is still basically worthless offensivley.

Well, he has shown the ability to pass in traffic, has been getting to the hoop and finishing more frequently, and hit a nice runner and a 3 tonight. Not sure anyone is annointing him but it is great to see his progress.

DJO is a stud--but I am worried about his 3 point shooting. I think he was 0-7 yesterday. He did carry the team in OT.

You need to look at more than just the boxscore.

How about Tony Miller also--he was not a very good shooter but was a great PG?

You are absolutely right........if controlling tempo, creating opportunities for others and not turning the ball over despite handling it a lot, with an occasional ability to penetrate a crease and finish don't count for anything.

Not only that, it's hard to have a ton of assists when nobody can hit a shot.

Jason Kidd for the first half of his career. He couldn't shoot a lick.

Confidence is a beautiful thing.  JC actually wanted to shoot and looked confident doing it.  I remember that shot was from the "extra pass" and JC caught it and shot it like a sharp shooter.  I honestly second guessed myself as to who shot the shot when it went it because I am so used to seeing JC deferring.

14 games this year Cadougan has scored 2 points or less, looks to me like he's offensivley challanged, I know he can handle the ball and doesn't turn it over much, but common man, the guy can't score

He's a point guard.  His role is to handle the ball and not turn it over.  Offense is more than just scoring.

+1 and they can come up with some big-time big conjones type plays like that 3 pointer last night.

Why do you complain about that the day after he hit a HUGE 3 to contribute to a GREAT victory?
